Experience a unique part of Turkey. Walk as the Lycians did, feel the richness of their history, touch the magic of their civilization, and see the wonderful natural beauty of the Lycian Trail where mountains caress the sea.
This trail holds the secrets and mysteries of 3000 years of Lycian civilization (2500BC-600AD) and once linked the ancient cities of the Lycian people.
As you walk along the trail, you’ll see startling panoramic views, including the view of the 18 km Patara Beach and ancient ruins. We will complete our walk entering the protected, antique area of the ruins of Patara including the amphitheatre and Lycian Parliament House (original Senate building ) and the oldest lighthouse in the world.

Our experienced guide will transport you to Firnaz Bay to begin your walk along the Aquaduct (Lycian waterway) part of which is still intact – an amazing feat of engineering amidst breathtaking countryside. We continue our walk edging toward Patara & after approximately 2 hours, we will reach a resting place & picnic area, where we will enjoy a tasty BBQ, drink the original spring water from the well if you wish and rest a while. We will then continue along the Lycian way until we reach Patara. After viewing the ruins we will transport you back to your hotel.
The Lycian country is best travelled in the spring and autumn.

Equipment: Adventurers - Medium trekking with daypack, walking boots, raingear, sunhat and sunblock, waterbottle and a daypack.
